About the role
The Retail Counter Staff is responsible for delivering excellent customer service at the store counter, assisting customers with product selection, handling billing and payments, and ensuring a seamless booking experience. The role requires product knowledge, sales orientation, and efficiency in handling customer transactions.
--- ## Key Responsibilities
Customer Service
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs
- Provide accurate product information, features, pricing, and offers
- Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable products
Sales & Billing
- Process sales transactions using proper systems
- Handle cash, card, and digital payments accurately
- Upsell and cross-sell products to meet sales targets
- Issue receipts, invoices, and manage returns/exchanges as per policy
Store Operations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the counter area
- Ensure proper display and replenishment of products near the counter
- Assist in stock verification and inventory management
- Coordinate with store staff for product availability and restocking
Customer Issue Handling
- Address customer concerns or complaints professionally
- Escalate complex issues to store supervisor/manager when required
Compliance & Reporting
- Follow store policies, SOPs, and loss prevention guidelines
- Maintain accuracy in daily cash reconciliation and transaction records
- Adhere to visual merchandising and brand standards
