About the role

The Retail Counter Staff is responsible for delivering excellent customer service at the store counter, assisting customers with product selection, handling billing and payments, and ensuring a seamless booking experience. The role requires product knowledge, sales orientation, and efficiency in handling customer transactions.

--- ## Key Responsibilities

Customer Service

  • Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs
  • Provide accurate product information, features, pricing, and offers
  • Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable products

Sales & Billing

  • Process sales transactions using proper systems
  • Handle cash, card, and digital payments accurately
  • Upsell and cross-sell products to meet sales targets
  • Issue receipts, invoices, and manage returns/exchanges as per policy

Store Operations

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the counter area
  • Ensure proper display and replenishment of products near the counter
  • Assist in stock verification and inventory management
  • Coordinate with store staff for product availability and restocking

Customer Issue Handling

  • Address customer concerns or complaints professionally
  • Escalate complex issues to store supervisor/manager when required

Compliance & Reporting

  • Follow store policies, SOPs, and loss prevention guidelines
  • Maintain accuracy in daily cash reconciliation and transaction records
  • Adhere to visual merchandising and brand standards
