Be a key member of our team in Budapest, responsible for driving performance improvements and ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our accounting hub.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform accounting processes in scope for the respective country and/or region like month end, reconciliations, fixed assets accounting etc.
  • Regular engagement with country teams and shared services on inputs and outputs for the completion of common processes
  • Focus on building deep business knowledge for the countries in scope to facilitate judgemental decisions
  • Manage updates and maintenance of the period end and year end closing schedules for the countries in scope
  • Perform review and reconciliation of the balance sheet and bank accounts on a periodic basis producing appropriate working papers and other supporting documentation
  • Provide regular updates to the Senior accountant on process completion and any escalations
  • Deliver the processes in scope to the agreed KPI requirements and support performance management
  • Support the continuous improvement agenda by providing documented suggestions on how quality and efficiency might be improved

Qualifications & Key Requirements:

  • Fluency in English and German
  • Qualification in accounting and 1 year of working experience
  • Strong knowledge of financial compliance and reporting requirements in relation to accounting standards (IFRS) and local GAAPs in scope
  • Ability to learn and use new financial tools and reporting systems
  • Ability to communicate to finance and non-finance stakeholders

As a preference:

  • Experience of performing accounting in a logistics or similar industry
  • Experience of using Oracle Cloud
