Meet the team:

Dexcom’s Enterprise Information Security Team is seeking a Sr. Cybersecurity Engineer to be part of a competent team of Cybersecurity professionals protecting the company’s global infrastructure. The role will focus on delivering services under security engineering, security operations, and other allied security services.  The successful candidate will be able to practice a fulfilling and challenging role of protecting the company’s global infrastructure.

Where you come in:

• You will be task to perform scripting, and automation works relating to Information Security
• You will conduct security assessments of new tools, applications, and systems.
• You will process and manage requests for various security services such as URL Filtering, Privilege Account Management, DLP, Firewall Rule Review.
• You will support or lead the design and deploy security infrastructure such as DLP, SWG, UBA, EDR, SIEM, MDM, NAC, etc.
• You will support or lead security infrastructure projects and manage security infrastructure.
• You will provide security consulting and influence adoption of security best practices.
• You may, if needed, support activities of third-party penetration testing, vulnerabilities assessments and drive remediation activity.
• You may, if needed, support incident response and threat containment.
• You may support information security and data privacy compliance audits and associated activities.

What makes you successful:

• You have a BS/MS in computer science/engineering, information technology, or related field or equivalent work experience.
• You bring 2.5+ years of experience in the cybersecurity, IT, or security engineering fields
• Your knowledge breadth across a variety of security infrastructure: FW, EDR, SIEM, DLP, Email Gateway, PAM
• Your ability to develop technical depth and expert knowledge in select areas as needed.
• Your willingness to cover US, EMEA or APAC working hours following a sustainable rotation schedule.
• Preferred Qualifications:
• Ability to develop scripts in languages such as Python, Powershell, etc.
• Demonstrated success in influencing peers/partners without direct authority.
• Proficiency in communicating technical concepts both verbally and in written documentation.

Experience and Education Requirements:

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline, and a minimum of 5-8 years related experience or Master’s degree and 2-5 years equivalent industry experience or a PhD and 0-2 years experience.
