Meet the team:

This role is a hybrid role which it encompasses leadership responsible for ensuring the efficient operation, maintenance, and repair of the building systems and infrastructure. This includes to handle small project for improvement for building maintenance and building systems. The engineer will manage preventive maintenance, respond to maintenance requests, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Where you come in:

  • You always prioritize safety for all work done by vendors or the internal team.
  • You lead and manage painters and handymen for daily tasks and building maintenance.
  • You ensure all installation, repair, and maintenance work follows safety rules and legal requirements.
  • You create SOPs, maintenance schedules, and keep proper records of maintenance activities.
  • You prepare Scope of Work (SOW), Request for Quotation (RFQ), tender documents, and assess vendors to support procurement.
  • You monitor monthly service contracts to ensure work is completed on time.
  • You perform daily walkthroughs to spot safety issues and building defects.
  • You compile defects and report them to management.
  • You coordinate repairs and troubleshooting with in-house teams or external contractors.
  • You work with the General Contractor to close punch-list items and fix issues permanently.
  • You plan and assign work orders in Maximo, and track completed tasks.
  • You handle building repair tasks and maintain cleanliness of internal and external areas.
  • You participate in continuous improvement projects.
  • You understand building systems like shutters, lifts, escalators, and automatic doors.
  • You coordinate with Soft Services and 4-Crew Operations to manage work distribution.
  • You work independently, provide guidance to technicians/handymen, and update the Facilities Operation Manager.
  • You forecast, manage, and maintain the OPEX budget.
  • You perform other tasks assigned by the Facilities Operation Manager.

What makes you successful:

  • You have hands-on technical experience in facilities and building maintenance.
  • You experience with building systems such as automatic sliding doors, speed shutters, fire shutters, dock levellers, lifts, and escalators is an added advantage.
  • You have knowledge of the Maximo system is a plus.
  • You are familiar with other facilities-related systems is also beneficial.
  • You have good supervisory skills and able to work effectively with the construction GC, handymen, painters, and the facilities team.
  • You have good technical and troubleshooting skills in building maintenance systems, including the ability to coordinate breakdown repair activities.
  • You able to critical thinking skills with the ability to make informed decisions independently is an added advantage.
  • You are responsible, accountable, and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • You able to interact professionally with individuals at different levels within the same or across different organizations.

Experience and Education Requirements:

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree with 2-5 years of industry experience
