Position Summary

Are you up to the challenge of being a trusted business advisor with an opportunity to influence business strategy at one of the world's leading professional services firms? If you have experience with the complete acquisition proposal lifecycle and an interest in leading "must-win" proposal opportunities, Deloitte's Government and Public Services (GPS) team is the place for you! Join our team of professionals in delivering strategic and tactical guidance to senior leadership in support of pursuit development efforts.

Work You'll Do

This position is established to develop strong solutions related to major ($100M+) Federal government acquisitions. You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team focused on melding business, management, technical, and cost elements for winning proposals. Efforts include supporting capture development and win readiness including developing, implementing, and incorporating win strategies through written and oral responses. You will work on solution development for large, complex bids while orchestrating multi-disciplined approach against pipeline priorities by assisting with:

  • Shaping: inform our definition of differentiated strengths; partner with account leadership to validate approach; explore innovations and other Deloitte strengths that can be reflected in evaluation factors; ensure the full capabilities of the firm are matched to the requirements
  • Solution Architecture: partner with Capture Executives and subject matter experts to identify and solidify solutions that address client needs and challenges; explore likely technical scenarios and associated Deloitte proof points; ensure proven processes are articulated with concrete outcomes; support development of management approach scenarios and past performance
  • Bid Strategy: develop teaming strategy; drive development of differentiated strengths and win themes; partner with leadership to support pricing strategy; articulate time and resource commitment requirements to maximize the probability of win
  • Proposal Development: partner with pursuit managers, subject matter experts, account leadership and pursuit team to develop, review and refine the formal response to the client; ensure compliance with all requirements; participate in oral presentation preparation and/or coaching

Qualifications:

Required:

  • 8+ years of experience in business development, government contracting, and/or procurement processes.
  • Bachelor's degree with preferred concentration in Business, English, Journalism, Marketing or Communications or equivalent work experience.
  • 2+ years of experience proving the ability to generate sound solutions throughout all aspects of the proposal development and pursuit process.
  • 2+ years working both independently and in team settings to include close collaboration with technical subject matter experts, program managers, proposal managers, and business development teams to determine and solution to customer requirements in complex and often ambiguous environments.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or any time in the future- Ability to travel 25%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve Preferred:
  • Active Security Clearance
  • Top Secret/SCI or SCI eligible.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to distill highly complex technical concepts into easily understandable pieces.
  • Experience generating government proposal artifacts such as technical solutions, staffing plans/rationales, program/project management approaches, past performance narratives, and other proposal elements.
  • Experience with highly technical solution development (i.e., cyber, cloud, etc.).
  • Current Project Management Institute, Project Management Professional certification.
  • Experience with Assisted Acquisition Services (AAS) / FEDSIM proposal development and artifact generation.

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $97,600 to **$179,900.**You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
