Associate Strategy Director, Social (Manager level)

What you'll do
The Associate Strategy Director, Social will drive social media strategy, working in close collaboration with creative, brand strategy, measurement/performance and account management teams day-to-day. Reporting to the Managing Director, Head of Social, Content and Influencer, they'll oversee the delivery of social and creator work for our clients, manage and coach social teams on individual accounts and support new business pursuits across a variety of sectors. The ideal candidate will be able to lead and sell impactful, social-first ideas, helping brands tell strong stories and effectively reach their target audiences. In this role, you will:
- Define overarching social brand and campaign strategy, built from analysis of audience, culture and business factors
- Understand and apply consumer trends in social and digital channels
- Identify insights through social listening and culture mapping to build a strong brand narrative
- Lead social and influencer strategy in line with brand and campaign objectives
- Collaborate effectively with creative teams, acting as the voice of the brand and the influencer to create content that is authentic and differentiated
- Work effectively within measurement tools to prepare reporting and optimization recommendations based upon relevant KPIs
- Perform competitive and trend analysis
- Lead workshops and other strategic planning sessions
- Develop strategy and proposals for new business pitches
- Create/implement operational efficiencies and social media processes for both internal and external teams
The team
Deloitte's Advertising, Marketing & Commerce team creates content and experiences that inspire action. We design and implement technology platforms for personalized marketing across all digital touchpoints, specializing in customer-centric B2B and B2C solutions. Our in-house agency engages customers throughout their journey, working on projects like Ad Tech, Mar Tech, campaign automation, CRM, and lead-to-loyalty orchestration. Required:
- 7+ years at a social, digital, creative or branding agency or a social media or tech platform
- 5+ years experience defining and delivering social media strategy that aligns with brand and business objectives
- Ability to travel up to 30% on average based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree or higher preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated expertise in the operation of social media channels within earned, owned, and paid marketing environments, including the ability to articulate how these channels integrate with broader branded advertising tactics
- Minimum of 3 years' experience with online research tools, such as You Gov, Simmons

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $144,200 to $265,600.
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
