Ops Software Senior Engineer:

DevOps Software Senior Engineers design, build, and operate next‑generation engineering platforms and infrastructure using AI‑assisted engineering practices together with modern DevOps principles. In this role, you will combine strong DevOps fundamentals with effective use of automation and AI‑enabled tooling to deliver reliable, scalable, and production‑ready systems supporting Dell’s AI and Solutions hyperconverged infrastructure.

What you’ll achieve

As a Senior DevOps Software Engineer on the TDC Solution team, you will design, develop, test, and operate CI/CD pipelines, automation, and engineering platforms that enable reliable and efficient software delivery.

You will take ownership of translating operational, reliability, and scalability needs into clear and actionable technical approaches, and leverage AI‑assisted workflows and automation to accelerate implementation, validation, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement—while ensuring production‑grade reliability, security, and performance.You will:

  • DevOps Engineering & Platform Development Design, develop, and maintain CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and operational tooling.
  • Build and operate scalable, reliable systems supporting Kubernetes‑based and cloud‑native platforms.
  • AI‑Assisted Automation & Tooling Leverage AI‑enabled tools to support infrastructure automation, pipeline development, debugging, and operational analysis.
  • Guide, review, and refine tool‑assisted outputs to ensure correctness, security, and long‑term maintainability.
  • Take full ownership of outcomes regardless of how tooling or automation is used.
  • Reliability, Observability & Troubleshooting Improve system reliability through robust monitoring, logging, metrics, and tracing.
  • Perform root cause analysis for complex distributed system issues, leveraging AI‑assisted analysis where appropriate.
  • Drive corrective and preventive improvements following incidents or reliability gaps.
  • Collaboration & Technical Leadership Work closely with software engineers, SREs, and product teams to enable high‑quality delivery.
  • Act as a senior technical contributor, setting a high bar for DevOps practices, code quality, and operational excellence.
  • Provide guidance to other engineers on effective use of automation, tooling, and DevOps best practices.

Essential Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience (5+ years).
  • Strong hands‑on experience with Python and/or Golang on Unix/Linux environments.
  • Solid understanding of DevOps fundamentals, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and cloud‑native practices.
  • Experience delivering and operating production systems with high reliability and quality.
  • Experience using AI‑assisted or automated tools to improve development, deployment, or operational workflows.
  • Strong engineering judgment to assess correctness, reliability, and long‑term maintainability of systems and changes.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).

Desirable Requirements

  • Experience with containerized orchestration systems (Kubernetes, Open Shift, etc) is a plus
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications, such as Kubernetes CKA, CKAD or AWS Certified Developer, are a plus
  • Experience with distributed tracing tools(e.g. Jaeger, Tempo) is a plus
  • Experience with log aggregation tools(e.g. Elasticsearch, Loki) is a plus
  • Experience with IaC tools(e.g. Terraform, Ansible) is a plus
  • Familiarity with pair programming with AI agents (e.g Claude Code, Gemini cli) is a plus
