What you’ll achieve

As a Vulnerability Management Senior Advisor, you will be responsible for driving vulnerability remediation activities across Dell engineering environments, working with product teams, infrastructure and DevOps teams and in close collaboration with the corporate Security and Resiliency Organization (SRO), Cyber Assurance and Operations and Vulnerability Management Team.

You will:

• Drive remediation efforts within engineering environments, by actively engaging various internal stakeholders to conduct holistic response management on identified vulnerabilities and drive the remediation efforts to increase the efficiency of vulnerability management processes.

• Analyzes security issues, determines cause and impact and identifies the corrective action needed to eliminate and prevent the event from happening in the future.

• Communicate with technical teams to assist on the fastest assessment and mitigation of vulnerabilities

• Review security compliance of systems against defined baselines and technical implementations to identify opportunities for improved remediation or efficacy as part of RCA and propose process improvements or design changes

• Assist stakeholders with vulnerability scanning and reporting issues, driving troubleshooting, suggesting changes to scanning and reporting configuration and strategy

Essential Requirements

• 6+ years of related experience, specifically in Vulnerability Management, Security Architecture, and/or Security Operations.

• Hands on experience with Vulnerability Scanning & Management tools (Nexpose, Tenable, Qualys, Prisma Cloud, Aqua, or equivalents) and driving vulnerability management activities for On-prem data center environments and / or Cloud technologies.

• Experience in analyzing systems and identifying security problems, threat modeling, vulnerability management, and remediation

• Experience in business process management, program management and/ or executive communication

• Demonstrates a thorough understanding of DevOps processes, pipelines, and the use of security tooling to support Dev Sec Ops teams

Desirable Requirements

• Experience with configuration hardening baselines based on CIS benchmarks, policy scans using vulnerability scanning tools, and driving configuration hardening activities

• Scripting skills (Python, PowerShell, Bash) for automation and custom detection logic.
