The Controls & Automation (C&A) Engineering – Leader position reports to the Director of Global Systems, F&B and is part of the *Pall F&B *located in *Bad Kreuznach, Germany *and will be an on-site role.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Lead a global team of high performing Electrical & Controls Engineers Located in APAC, EU and WH regions.

• Provide technical leadership during bidding and execution stages, including technology selection and design testing of requested equipment, taking full responsibility and ownership of proposed solutions throughout the project lifecycle.

• Analyze customer process user requirements and tender specifications for engineered process equipment in the Food & Beverage industry (covering technologies such as direct flow filtration, cross flow filtration, etc.) for electrical, automation, and control systems.

• Discuss, propose, and define final engineered technical system solutions with the customer, assisting in technical quotation writing and associated costing.

• Elaborate technical details and manage vendors during the design phase, including creation of functional specifications to guide process coding, defining and generating lists for instruments, valves, apparatuses, and fittings.

• Provide technical input and guidance in response to critical questions from team members, actively acting as a coach and trainer to enhance team competency.

• Execute the engineered system solution after order placement in accordance with contractual specifications together with a defined project team, ensuring delivery meets specification, timeline, and budget while respecting current good engineering practices, industrial standards, and established quality management system.

The essential requirements of the job include:

• BSc/MSc or equivalent in Software, Automation or Controls engineering, or equivalent with minimum 5 years of team management and 10 years overall experience of automation & controls engineering of equipment used in the F&B process industry.

• Skills in one or more of HMI and PLC Programming on Siemens & AB Rockwell platforms, Win CC, TIA Portal. Knowledge in Automation design, Controls & BUS communication architecture & IOT.

• Fluent in German and English.
