The Senior Specialist, Technical Writing and Labeling, is responsible for leading the development, optimization, and strategic oversight of product labeling and technical documentation. This role drives significant impact by ensuring compliance, enhancing usability, and supporting cross-functional product development and global commercialization efforts.
This position reports to the Manager, Packaging Engineering & Labeling and is part of the Technical Engineering Services Team, located in Cincinnati, Ohio and will be an on-site role.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Lead creation and lifecycle management of complex labeling and technical documentation across multiple product families.
- Drive process improvements and implement new documentation technologies and methodologies.
- Manage documentation and labeling workstreams for medium-scale projects with moderate risk and complexity.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Regulatory, Quality, and Marketing teams to ensure timely documentation deliverables.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to continuous learning and documentation excellence.
The essential requirements of the job include:
- 5-7 years of experience in technical writing, labeling, or documentation in a regulated industry.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, and document/content management systems.
- Strong understanding of global regulatory and labeling requirements (FDA, ISO, MDR). (ISO- 15223-1)
- Bachelor’s degree in Technical Communications, Life Sciences, Engineering, or related field.
- Proven ability to lead projects, solve complex problems, and influence cross-functional teams.
Travel Requirements:
- Ability to travel –up to 10% for cross-functional collaboration, audits, and training.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- Experience with structured authoring, content reuse models, or translation management systems
- Prior experience supporting documentation for global regulatory submissions or product launches
- Experience mentoring junior writers or contributing to documentation training programs

The annual salary range for this role is $90,000 to $115,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
We offer comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) to eligible employees.
