What you’ll do

The key responsibilities of the Legal Counsel will at least include the following:

  • Commercial Legal Support
  • Support strategic business initiatives and cross-functional projects.
  • Advise internal stakeholders on legal risks, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
  • Support M&A, joint ventures, localization and other strategic transactions as needed.
  • Contract Management
  • Review and manage contract deviations and approvals through internal systems.
  • Provide guidance on non-standard procurement and confidentiality agreements.
  • Monitor contract review processes and identify areas for improvement.
  • Compliance & Training
  • Deliver training on legal policies, compliance topics (e.g., anti-bribery, competition law), and contract approval procedures, etc.
  • Support compliance investigations (when assigned) and due diligence processes for channel partners.
  • Corporate Governance & Dispute Resolution
  • Provide legal support for subsidiary formation, changes, and deregistration.
  • Advice on corporate governance matters.
  • Manage dispute resolution, including litigation and settlements.
  • Others
  • Collaborate with global and Danaher China legal teams to ensure that Cytiva’s local practices are aligned with global standards and also meet the specific requirements of Danaher China.
  • Handle inquiries, external investigations when necessary.
  • Build trusted relationships with business leaders and serve as a proactive partner in strategic decision-making. Partner with business leaders to proactively identify legal risks and provide strategic solutions that enable business growth.

Who you are

  • Bachelor’s degree or above, majoring in Law.
  • Minimum 6-8 years of PQE.
  • Fluent in English with excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Experience in a reputable law firm is a must.
  • Prior experience in the life sciences industry is advantageous but not required. Candidates from other regulated industries are also welcome.
  • Open-minded and adaptable to change.
  • Demonstrates a proactive, can-do attitude and willingness to take on challenges.
  • A true team player who collaborates effectively across functions and cultures.
