This position is part of the Pall Aerospace Machine Shop and will be located onsite in New Port Richey, FL. The work schedule is 2nd shift Monday through Friday, 2: 45 PM to 11:15 PM, and overtime is frequent.

This position requires access to export-controlled commodities, technical data, technology, software, and services. U.S. citizenship, U.S. legal permanent resident status, protected person status, or U.S. Government export authorization is required. Any offer of employment is contingent upon Pall obtaining the necessary employment visa and export authorization, including, if required, an export license from the applicable U.S. government agency.

The CNC Machinist position for Pall Corporation is responsible for performing complex set-up and operation of multi axis CNC Mills and/or Lathes.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Perform complex set-up and operation of multi axis CNC Mills and/or Lathes. Assist in the selection of tools, holding fixtures, and methods for producing machined parts.
• Read and understand all types of drawings required to machine parts such as castings, forgings, and detailed engineering sketches. Perform first piece and in-process inspection using precision measuring tools (i.e. gauges and automated CMMs) and blueprints to ensure parts are machined to specifications.
• Effectively perform secondary operations (i.e. operation and setup on simple machines or processes including drill press, stamping press, deburring, etc.).

The essential requirements of the job include:

• Must have a High School diploma or local equivalent (i.e., GED). or completed Trade School Apprenticeship program or ten (10) years of CNC set-up experience.
• Solid understanding of shop math (i.e. algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and GD&T).

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Running up to 9 axis machining.
• Interpreting tool and part drawings including but not limited to geometrical tolerancing and manually calculated dimensions.
• Reading and interpreting CNC programs to recognize and make changes to rectify excessive tool wear and minor program oversights.
