The Product Specialist for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for providing technical-scientific support to the commercial team, managing the product lifecycle, and strategically collaborating to drive demand generation and market share growth.
The Chemistry/Immunoassay Hematology Product Sales Specialist (Chem/IA/Hem PSS) will represent Beckman Coulter Diagnostics working within a complex, team based selling process targeting prospective and current customers. The Chem/IA/Hem PSS will be responsible for positioning chemistry, immunoassay and hematology solutions into hospitals and reference laboratories by anticipating the needs of those customers and executing a sales strategy to become the technical vendor of choice
This position reports to the Marketing & Product Manager Mexico and Puerto Rico and is part of the Marketing Department located in México City and will be on site role to cover Mexico.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Provide technical-scientific support and conduct product training for direct and indirect sales teams.
- Through solid market and competitive knowledge, develop and execute creative strategies to influence the decision criteria and utilize winning tactics to close the sale.
- Effectively link Beckman Coulter’s Chem/IA/Hem solutions to the customers’ technical, financial and business needs.
- Manage a long-term sales cycle (often years to develop) with many different customer decision makers
- Analyze market data to provide insights and support go-to-market strategies, including developing strategic action plans for key direct and indirect channel distributors.
- Participate actively in tender processes (analyzing, compiling and building the final document together with the sales teams).
The essential requirements of the job include:
- Bachelor’s degree in biomedical, PCB (pharmaceutical chemist biologist), Biological Science or a related field; 5+ years’ capital sales experience in hospital or laboratory setting
- Working knowledge of laboratory workflow, workload demands, and Chem/IA/Hem system needs in a hospital laboratory
- Strong communication and presentation skills; demonstrated ability to conduct a technical presentation and be able to articulate clearly, concisely and accurately throughout.
- Working experience on Diagnostic market and distributors.
- Advanced English level is a must.
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements: if applicable for role
- Highly motivated and successfully driven within a team environment.
- Must be willing to travel 40% up to 50%
- The work environment for this position is field sales.
- The field sales activity will take this individual into customers’ locations and moderate physical activity (e.g. lifting/carrying of materials) occurs.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- 3 years, participating actively in tender processes (analyzing, compiling and building the final document together with the sales teams).
- Capable to effectively overcome customer objections and turn them into a competitive win.
