The Biacore & Reagents Field Application Specialist for Cytiva is responsible for the complete range of Biacore instruments and consumables, working with customers in the field as a technical expert for Biacore products. The Biacore Application Specialist works in synergy with Biacore Sales Specialists and Account Managers to grow Biacore business in the defined territory.
This position is part of the UK & Ireland Discovery Commercial Team and will be fully remote. The territory is Scotland and North UK.
What you will do:

Supporting the network of Biacore users in the territory, understand their goals, build strong relationships and formulate strategies to generate effective long-term partnerships. Work with reference customers on territory to build and maintain the Biacore Scientific Network.

Coordinate and perform instrument demonstrations and customer trainings.
-
Deliver product presentations at user days, workshops, seminars and exhibitions.
-
Collaborate closely with Sales Specialists and Account Managers to develop our opportunity funnel and secure revenue.

Provide customers with after sales support and troubleshooting to deliver a positive customer experience.
Who you are:
-
University level degree in a Life Science related discipline. Life sciences PhD or equivalent experience is highly desirable.

Detailed knowledge of Surface Plasmon Resonance and protein interactions. Extensive hands-on experience with Biacore 1-Series, and/or T200 or S200, and/or Biacore 8-Series.

Ability to work effectively in a matrix structure and enjoy being part of a team.

Positive attitude always, able to energize colleagues, collaborate and build rapport.

Good communication and presentation skills.
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

Ability to travel is essential since the role is customer-facing with 70-80% of time in the field.

Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
