The Senior QC Inspector (Mechanical) is responsible for ensuring incoming materials meet Cepheid’s Incoming Inspection requirements utilizing established inspection and test methods to maintain and meet established quality objectives and goals.

This position reports to the Director, Supplier Quality and is part of the US Global Quality Operations located in Lodi, CA and will be an on-site role.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Perform and train visual and mechanical inspection on injection molded plastics, precision machined parts, labeling, consumables, sheet metal, cable assemblies, printed circuit board assemblies and packaging materials to assess compliance with specifications

• Program Micro-Vu optical vision system for Plastic, Metal components, and other components including Failure Analysis

• Perform First Articles, and execute inspections, sampling and testing of incoming components and raw materials to ensure company standards are met

The essential requirements of the job include:

• High School degree (or equivalent experience) with 4 to 6 years of experience in QC Inspection role

• 3+ experience programming Micro-Vu optical vision system. Ability to provide guidance and support to other team members.

• Understands GD&T terminology, Gage R&R, mechanical drawings and working knowledge of inspection sampling plans.

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

• Must be able to lift minimum of 20 pounds (lbs)

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Develop and write Validation protocols to ISO 13485 standards

• Initiate and release Document Change Orders

• CMM Experience

The hourly range for this role is $30.29 to $40.14. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
