The Senior Software Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining high-quality, high-performance software solutions for the Particle Characterization and Counting Life Sciences instruments.

This position reports to Software Team Lead located in the India Development Center and will be an on-site role.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Software development of Life Science/Biotech instrument software in a collaborative team environment
• Carry out all phases of software development, including requirement specification, design, implementation, software integration, testing, and documentation required to meet company procedures
• Take ownership of the design and implementation of software modules
• Collect inputs from stakeholders, develop concepts, and conduct feasibility studies
• Execute quality assurance activities such as risk analysis, technical reviews and code inspections
• Undertake software maintenance efforts
• Support the continuous improvement of the software development process
• Work in an iterative product release environment, continuously focusing on quality and delivery goals.

The essential requirements of the job include:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in commercial software development with hands-on experience in C#
• 5+ years of experience using Web technologies or Windows technologies (Win Forms, WPF)
• Solid understanding of software design principles
• Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, and excellent communication and collaboration skills for a cross-functional team.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality work.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Understanding of software development processes in a regulated environment such as life sciences / medical device domain
• Experience in Linux based development
• Experience with Jenkins and CI/CD
• Experience with Node.js, frameworks such as Angular or React, CSS, HTML5 along with Java backend
