About Cyera

Come join the company building the security operating model for the age of AI. AI has changed how data is used — and security must change with it. Cyera's mission is to empower businesses to accelerate AI Adoption by defining a holistic approach to securing AI - from data to access to model. Instead of perimeter controls and static policies, Cyera provides a unified control plane that understands relationships between data, access, and behaviors across humans, systems, and AI. Backed by the world’s leading investors and working with a large and growing list of Fortune 1000 companies, we are looking for world-class talent to join us as we usher in the new era of data and AI security.

About the Role

We’re looking for a QA Automation Engineer to join the Agent DLP team and take full ownership of testing and quality for our endpoint data loss prevention (DLP) product.

This is the first QA position in the Agent team — a rare opportunity to shape how quality is defined, tested, and improved from day one. You’ll build and execute test plans for our Windows agent, combining hands-on manual testing with gradual automation as the product and team evolve.

The role involves deep engagement with low-level system components and drivers, validating the agent’s stability, performance, and integration with Windows internals.

At this stage, the focus is primarily on functional and regression testing, ensuring stable, reliable releases. Over time, you’ll drive the move toward automation and help drive the team’s long-term quality strategy while collaborating with additional QA members.

Your work will directly influence the reliability, stability, and confidence of one of Cyera’s most critical product components.

What You’ll Do

  • Own the end-to-end testing process for the Agent DLP product.

  • Design and execute tests for new features, regressions, and system-level scenarios.

  • Develop automated tests where appropriate to increase coverage and efficiency.

  • Collaborate closely with developers and product managers to ensure testability and quality from design through release.

  • Track and report quality metrics and KPIs to measure product health.

  • Apply strong understanding of QA methodologies, test design, and defect management.

  • Reproduce, document, and analyze defects to help identify root causes and prevent recurrences.

  • Gradually introduce automation tools and practices as the product matures.

  • Help establish a quality culture and practices from the ground up within a fast-moving engineering team.

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in Python (automation scripting, tools, or test development).

  • 2+ years of experience testing desktop applications on Windows and/or macOS.

  • Proven ability to design and execute manual tests with strong attention to detail.

  • Familiarity with Pytest or similar automation testing frameworks.

  • Experience defining QA processes, writing test cases, and maintaining documentation.

  • Familiarity with bug tracking tools, test management systems, and CI/CD workflows.

  • Strong analytical, debugging, and communication skills.

  • A proactive mindset with the ability to establish QA discipline in a growing team.

  • Test and validate low-level components, integrations, and driver behavior on Windows.

Nice to Have

  • Experience testing endpoint agents, security software, or DLP products.
  • Experience with macOS internals or cross-platform testing
