CrowdStrike Linux Agent Easy way to make it better
I love crowdstrike, its amazing. However, its Linux agent isn't the best. I created an open-source Linux EDR solution and I loved it. So I wanted to know why aren't Crowdstrike copying it, collobarating with it or just using it? I think it can dramatically improve the Linux agent.<p>The open-source project that I created: https://github.com/Cybereason-Public/owLSM

How we implemented verifier-friendly O(n) substring search in eBPF LSM
We needed substring matching in our enforcement policy. I checked how other projects like Tetragon and KubeArmor handle it - turns out no open source project had done it. So we built it ourselves. After trying multiple approaches, we found what works best. Our constraints: - Haystack: 254 chars - Needle: 32 chars - Kernel 5.12+ support I tweeted about it and got great feedback, so here's the full technical deep dive. **The problem:** We needed `string_contains` for our rules, but it had to be

Wazuh being sued for patent infringement
I came across this today and haven't seen it anywhere. I know it's pretty new so it's not surprising that it hasn't been written about that I've seen. A "company" called "Speech Transcription LLC" is suing over alleged infringement of a patent that is supposedly for a unified security management system. In trying to find out more about this "company" I enjoyed Google's AI assistant blatantly calling them out as patent trolls and showing that many of the other lawsuits filled in the last few
