Position Summary
Signify Health is transforming the home into a health hub by combining data, technology, and people to build trusted relationships that make people healthier. As a Staff Software Engineer, you will serve as a key member of a collaborative team responsible for the design, delivery, and operation of business-critical, distributed systems.
In this role. you will work as a full stack engineer in a team that is responsible for the delivery of our new communication platform for clinicians that streamlines and add new capabilities to things like two way chat, SMS and Email and also work on our safety platform for clinicians. You will lead technical initiatives to solve complex, enterprise-wide problems, ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainability. AI should be part of your solutions and you should be able to lead AI initiatives within the team and the organisation. You will be responsible for designing and building enterprise-grade systems using modern technology, delivering incremental value through platform-focused releases, and driving long-term improvements focused on simplicity.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: 10+ years of software development experience.
- Proven track record of delivering complex customer-facing software products on time and of high quality.
- Engineering Foundation: Strong foundation in software engineering, including problem-solving, data structures, algorithms, patterns, and concurrency.
- Strong full stack technical depth in two or more of: .NET / C#, React, React Native, cloud-native backend services (Azure preferred)
- Database Knowledge: Strong SQL skills and understanding of RDBMS, specifically SQL Server or PostgreSQL.
- Distributed Systems: Strong experience in the design, implementation, and operation of distributed systems at scale.
- AI: Experience with Claude or similar
- Soft Skills: Clear and effective communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Architecture: Familiarity with asynchronous, event-based architectures.
- Technical Stack: Experience with technologies such as Kafka, REST APIs, Protobuf, gRPC, Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
- Monitoring: Experience with Application and Performance Monitoring platforms (e.g., New Relic).
- Experience with push notification infrastructure — particularly in mobile-first product contexts
- Experience running or contributing to an AI engineering workflow modernization program — defining standards, selecting tooling, and measuring productivity improvements
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline — or equivalent practical experience demonstrating the same level of technical foundation
- Advanced degree (Master's or equivalent) in a technical field is advantageous but not required
- Relevant professional certifications are welcomed, including but not limited to: Microsoft Azure certifications (AZ-204, AZ-305, or equivalent), AWS/GCP equivalents, or leadership/management certifications
- Continuous learning mindset — demonstrated engagement with emerging technologies, AI/ML tooling developments, and modern software engineering practices through coursework, certifications, conference participation, or published work
Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
€65,000.00 - €165,000.00
