Job Description Summary
We are seeking an emerging Asset Management professional to join our Integrated Facilities Management team in New Zealand. This role is ideally suited to someone currently working in asset data management, analytics, or a related discipline who is looking to step into an Asset Manager role.
The position offers a clear development pathway. In the initial phase, the focus will be on strengthening and organizing asset data, improving data quality, and establishing robust data governance practices. As the role evolves, you will transition into utilizing this data to support asset management strategies, lifecycle planning, and performance optimization.
You will work closely with internal teams, clients, and partners to support data-led decision-making and contribute to asset management practices across Private Public Partnership (PPP) contracts.
Job Description Key Responsibilities Asset Data & Foundations (Initial Focus)

Support the collection, validation, and cleansing of asset data

Improve data quality, structure, and governance practices

Assist in audits, inspections, and data verification activities

Contribute to the development of the Asset Management Data & Information Strategy
Asset Management & Analytics (Evolving Focus)

Support development of asset management plans and lifecycle models
-
Assist with capital planning and performance analysis

Produce reporting and insights to support client and business outcomes

Contribute to data-driven decision-making processes
Maintenance & Compliance

Support development of preventative maintenance strategies

Monitor asset performance and reliability
-
Assist in ensuring compliance with statutory standards and best practices
Continuous Improvement & Innovation

Identify opportunities to improve systems, processes, and data quality

Support the use of technology, automation, and reporting tools

Contribute to innovation in asset management practices
Frameworks & Governance

Maintain asset management systems, frameworks, and documentation

Support implementation of asset management standards and processes
About You
You are a detail-oriented and analytical professional with a strong interest in asset data and a desire to grow into a broader Asset Management role.
Experience & Background

Experience in asset data management, analytics, or a related field

Exposure to asset management principles or environments (e.g. facilities, infrastructure, property)

Experience working with asset systems or datasets (e.g. CMMS, Share Point, or similar)

Understanding building systems (HVAC, Electrical, Fire) is advantageous
-
Familiarity with ISO 55000 or asset management frameworks is beneficial but not essential
-
PPP experience is advantageous but not required

Technical Skills

Strong Microsoft Office skills (particularly Excel)

Experience with data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI) is advantageous
-
Interest in data analysis, reporting, and continuous improvement
-
Exposure to automation or programming tools is a plus
