Job Description

Strategic Leadership:

  • Develop and implement strategic plans for commercial management and quantity surveying.

Commercial Management:

  • Oversee the preparation and management of project budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Ensure accurate cost control and financial reporting for all projects.
  • Negotiate and manage contracts with clients, contractors, and suppliers.
  • Identify and mitigate commercial risks across projects.

Contract Management:

  • Oversee the preparation of contracts with final review and sign-off.
  • Propose contracts to clients that meet their needs and mitigate their requirements.
  • Understanding of local market and standard forms of contract used within the market, as well as internal forms for international clients/projects.

Quantity Surveying:

  • Lead the quantity surveying team in preparing cost estimates, bills of quantities, and tender documents.
  • Ensure accurate measurement and valuation of construction work.
  • Conduct cost analysis and value engineering to optimize project costs.
  • Provide expert advice on contractual matters and dispute resolution.

Client and Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and industry partners.
  • Present reports and updates to senior management and clients.

Team Development:

  • Mentor and develop commercial management and quantity surveying teams.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
  • Ensure the team is up-to-date with industry standards and best practices.

Compliance and Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure all commercial and quantity surveying activities comply with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Implement and maintain quality assurance processes.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying / Real Estate with 10 years of experience in managing medium to large projects
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with vendors and stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
