Job Description Summary
Perform work tasks assigned as it pertains to the mechanical floor. Assist all other trades from the control room and on the mechanical floor. Completes tasks in a timely, safe and to skill set standards. Assist in monitoring of the building management system. Perform daily mechanical rounds, inspection, maintenance, and repair including but not limited to mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems and associated equipment at 100 Federal St, a large Class A office building in downtown Boston. Work without direct Supervision on daily assigned work. Personally respond to emergency requests and perform repairs through to completion.
Job Description This is a Wednesday-Sunday 3rd shift role
Assist in monitoring, assigning work orders through the use of CMMS system. the needs of all scheduled and non-scheduled work requests and special projects. Personally respond to emergency requests and perform repairs through to completion.

MA 2nd Class Engineer License Minimum Required.

Follow company and customer rules and guidelines.

Understand written and verbal job instructions.

Assist in monitoring and operate the building BMS system per the building standards and best practices as directed by the employer/customer.

Use Power Tools (Hand Grinders, Saws, Impact Wrenches, Drill Press, Hydraulic Pullers)

Use Fall Protection Equipment and work on elevated areas. (Ladders, Platforms, Scaffolding, and others as required)

Maintain HVAC equipment on an ongoing basis as part of the facility’s preventive maintenance program.

Conduct necessary troubleshooting and testing of equipment to determine malfunctions or causes of breakdown; remove and replace faulty parts, sub-assemblies, and major components; re-test repaired equipment and adjust for proper operation

Continually evaluate new equipment and ideas to maximize efficiency and cost savings.

Able to take direction, to work with minimal supervision, and to function cooperatively as part of a team.

Attention to detail, take pride in delivering excellent service, organization, and high levels of energy and endurance.

Ability to plan and organize work and understand the importance of priority of work tasks and the willingness to perform all assigned tasks within their ability.

Willing to continue training to maintain knowledge of the latest equipment and technologies in assigned duties.

Ability and willingness to work rotational shift, if necessary, including days, evenings, and nights as well as overtime, weekends, and holidays, as required.
QUALIFICATIONS: (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Education and/or
Experience):
- 2nd Class Stationary Engineer Minimum License.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Will routinely be required to bend, reach, and hold awkward positions for prolonged periods.
- Must be able to lift to 50 lbs. and lift and transport equipment more than 200 lbs., with others
- Observant which requires seeing, hearing, and smelling
- Must be physically able to work alone, climb consecutive sets of stairs, and work off ladders, staging, lifts, etc.
- Work in confined spaces, stoops, and bends for long periods of time, and works on hands and knees and other uncomfortable positions for extended periods

The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.
The compensation for the position is: $46.37 - $54.55
