This role governs the structure, quality, and evolution of the Revit template ecosystem, ensuring consistency and compliance across all design deliverables.
The position supports model quality, conformance reviews, and data structures that feed portfolio level analytics. The BIM Expert also administers the Common Data Environment (CDE), ensuring that design files, standards documentation, templates, and reporting tools remain organized, current, and accessible.

Job Description:

Principal Responsibilities

  • Own and govern Revit template frameworks, controlled content libraries, shared parameters, and naming conventions.
  • Maintain structured version control for templates, content updates, and documentation release notes.
  • Define and manage BIM quality standards, model structure requirements, and drawing taxonomy conventions.
  • Conduct or support model health checks—automated and manual—for compliance, completeness, and constructability.
  • Define BIM conformance checkpoints at SD, DD, and CD stages within the program playbook.
  • Maintain discipline specific checklists, jurisdictional readiness criteria, and documentation requirements.
  • Administer and organize content within the CDE (e.g., Share Point, Autodesk ACC, Ingenious, or equivalent).
  • Support analytics related to modeling quality, compliance, and design health.
  • Coordinate with technology, QA/QC, and design teams to support consistent adoption of digital standards.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of digital design standards, tools, and workflows.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction, or related field.
  • 7+ years hands‑on BIM experience, including Revit production and standards development.
  • Proven experience managing BIM templates, standards, and QC processes at a program or enterprise scale.
  • Strong understanding of design documentation workflows and multi‑disciplinary coordination.
  • Experience with Common Data Environments and digital collaboration platforms.
  • Experience using analytics or model validation tools preferred (e.g., Power BI, Dynamo).
  • Strong organizational, documentation, and communication skills.
