Job Description Summary

The BMS Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of the Building Management System and Power Management System (PMS) within the Data Centre. This role ensures that all critical infrastructure—including HVAC, power distribution, and fire safety—operates with maximum efficiency and zero downtime.

Job Description About the Job:

  • System Monitoring & Optimization:

Actively monitor BMS/EPMS interfaces to ensure environmental conditions (temperature, humidity, airflow) are maintained within strict SLA limits for server halls.

  • Maintenance & Troubleshooting:

Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on BMS controllers, sensors, and actuators; troubleshoot communication protocols such as BACnet, Modbus, and Lon Works.

  • Project Delivery:

Support the commissioning of new Data Centre halls by verifying control sequences, sensor calibration, and system integration during the construction phase.

  • Data Analysis & Reporting:

Utilize system metrics and analytics to identify trends, optimize energy consumption (PUE), and inform operational improvements.

  • Vendor Management:

Coordinate with external specialists and OEM vendors for system upgrades and software patches to ensure cybersecurity and reliability.

  • Incident Response:

Provide 24/7 on-call support for critical alarms and lead the root cause analysis (RCA) for any system-related anomalies.

About You:

  • Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Electronic, or Mechanical Engineering (Psychology-based behavioral assessment of candidates is a plus for cultural fit).

  • Experience:

5–7 years of experience in BMS/Controls engineering, specifically within high-availability environments such as Data Centres, hospitals, or semiconductor plants.

  • Technical Proficiency:

Hands-on experience with industry-standard platforms (e.g., Schneider Eco Struxure, Siemens Desigo, Johnson Controls, or Honeywell).

  • Deep understanding of MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) systems and their control logic.

  • Soft Skills:

Strong analytical mindset, "results-driven" leadership style, and the ability to partner effectively with cross-functional business leaders.
