Job Description Summary

This position embodies an exceptional customer service experience to the client/colleague/end user in a Life Science corporate environment. Engage at the appropriate level to support contracted service lines to include receiving and delivering mail. Individual is responsible for ensuring that timely and efficient services are delivered to the satisfaction of the customer. Pick up and deliver mail, and packages. Assume accountability for all support functions for assigned floor(s).

Job Description

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Monday-Friday (8:00am-4:30pm). Will be required to work one Saturday per month. During that week, your schedule will be Tuesday-Saturday (8:00am-4:30pm).
  • Delivery and pick up USPS and accountable mail (Fed Ex, UPS, DHL), messenger and other incoming packages throughout floors to and from mailroom-Deliver print work as needed.
  • Create Fed Ex shipment labels for Domestic and international destinations.
  • Process all outgoing USPS and accountable mail.
  • Keep inventory of all supplies in mail areas-includes USPS and accountable mail.
  • Open, scan and email all incoming mail to recipients.
  • Assist and notify end users of mail and shipping protocols.
  • Audit and update mail lists as needed.
  • Retrieve and email monthly client accounting statements.
  • Complete research of unidentified mail received.
  • Log all incoming accountable mail in tracking software.
  • Process client checks received using established guidelines.
  • Complete large volume mailing projects as required.
  • Support confidential document shredding in accordance with stated policy.
  • Working Saturday, and overtime as needed to assist with client’s needs.
  • Must assist in supporting all service lines in addition to primary role.
  • Assist other duties, as needed to meet business demands.

Formal Training/Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Expected

  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Exceptional organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Admirable punctuality/attendance record
  • Able to lift 50-75 lbs.
  • Knowledge of mail tracking software a plus
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Copier/fax/Fed Ex/postage machine knowledge
  • Basic computer skills a must (Word, Excel, Outlook)

The compensation that will be offered to the successful candidate will depend on factors such as whether the position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement, the geographic area in which the work will be performed, market pay rates in that area, and the candidate’s experience and qualifications.

The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.

The compensation for the position is: $15.15 - $16.28
