Our Dublin based Valuation & Advisory teams advise on a range of sectors including offices, retail, industrial, hospitality, leisure and healthcare. We have a prestigious client base which covers institutions, FTSE quoted property companies and numerous debt providers. This role is to work specifically in our leading team in Dublin, Ireland. This is a fantastic opportunity for an MRICS qualified surveyor to join a leading team operating in a fast paced and dynamic market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manages and executes specific commercial property valuations to satisfy client needs.
  • Develops and maintains existing relationships with a wide range of clients.
  • Acts as a trusted property advisor, providing analysis, insight and valuable advice to clients on specific projects and properties in a proactive manner.
  • Manages workload to exceed our clients’ expectations by producing work to the highest professional standard, representing the brand the best way possible and capturing key learnings for future reference.
  • Carries out conflict checks in line with conflict procedure.
  • Agrees and drafts fee proposals and Terms of Engagement (TOE) for approval by the Director.
  • Effectively manages multiple priorities so that time, resources & costs are balanced to deliver profitability & all fees are collected in good time to avoid bad debts.
  • Delivers against agreed scope and responsibilities, providing reports and regular updates for clients in line with the fee proposal, TOE & client expectations, monitoring progress & communicating proactively.
  • Works with senior colleagues to deliver our department objectives in line with the business plan.
  • Identifies and acts on cross referrals as they present themselves across Cushman & Wakefield
  • Utilises all relevant technology systems, maintains up to date records and maximises reporting functionality, e.g. Argus Developer, Argus Val Cap / Enterprise, ValuePRO, SAM.
  • Assists in the supervision & development of Surveyors & Graduate Surveyors, e.g. delegates tasks, provides effective feedback and guidance, and acts as a counsellor/supervisor in the APC process.
  • Understands and complies with all of the relevant landlord & tenant legislation, current Anti Money Laundering, BER and Data Protection Legislation and any other legislation relevant to a property professional operating in Ireland.
  • Takes ownership for own development by undertaking activities to broaden experience and market knowledge, e.g. CPD & SCSI events, Surveyor Peer Network.
  • Lives the Company Values in all dealings with colleagues and works as a collaborative team player.
  • Works on raising Cushman & Wakefield’s brand profile in Ireland through the writing of press releases for print media & sharing of such articles & company research/reports via LinkedIn and other appropriate social media forums.
  • Attends internal and external events with industry colleagues, clients & business connections to develop own profile & professional network to generate business opportunities

Knowledge & Experience:

  • APC accredited/Chartered Surveyor
  • Two years’ relevant experience in a similar role
  • Strong understanding of property economics and property related legislation
  • Knowledge of the property market
  • Numerical reasoning ability
  • Good IT desktop skills
  • Report writing
  • Client relationship management
  • Good interpersonal skills & communication skills
