Job Description Summary
The Operating Engineer will manage the daily operation, maintenance, and repair of building systems, ensuring all engineering, mechanical, and life‑safety equipment function safely, efficiently, and in accordance with Cushman & Wakefield standards. They will perform inspections, troubleshoot issues, support preventive and corrective maintenance, and handle documentation, vendor coordination, and reporting to maintain performance, safety, and regulatory compliance

About the Role:
- Perform daily operation, monitoring, and maintenance of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical equipment, life‑safety systems, and general engineering infrastructure.
- Conduct routine inspections, identify equipment issues, perform troubleshooting, and complete corrective repairs to maintain uptime and system reliability.
- Support preventive maintenance programs by following schedules, completing checklists, maintaining logs, and ensuring documentation is accurate and up to date.
- Respond promptly to service requests from occupants, addressing maintenance, repair, and facility‑related needs while ensuring safety and minimal disruption.
- Assist with vendor coordination, verify service completion, support compliance with safety and statutory requirements, and contribute to operational reporting and audits.
About You:
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline, with strong technical understanding of building systems and equipment.
- 3–7 years of experience in building operations or engineering roles within commercial, industrial, or mixed‑use facilities.
- Hands‑on experience operating and troubleshooting HVAC systems, electrical distribution, plumbing systems, fire‑life‑safety equipment, and BMS systems.
- Ability to maintain documentation, equipment logs, service reports, and compliance records with high accuracy.
- Strong problem‑solving skills, attention to detail, and willingness to support after‑hours emergencies or critical maintenance activities.
