Position Purpose and Nature:

Responsible for smooth operations of all electromechanical systems and other associated services for assigned Towers in the Shift

Key Accountabilities and Duties:

To take care of smooth operation of all equipment

To control and monitor the preventive maintenance carried out as per schedule.

To provide the resource and time for QEHS& W training, work places, accommodation and facilities for staff.

To attend EHS meeting and addressing QEHS &W issues.

Ensure SO observation completion on time.

Ensures that the shift has a sufficient number of qualified employees to safely operate the facility.

Controls the plant process and electrical distribution through the plant Distributive Control System and other process control devices.

Identifies any problems with plant equipment and clearly communicates the conditions associated with these problems to the Plant Maintenance Team.

Directs the activities of Plant Operators as necessary to support the overall plant operation.

Ensures the completeness of shift round checklists, routine daily/weekly/monthly test checklists and equipment change-over checklists, etc.

Coordinates with Shift Charge Engineers of other shifts.

Assists in budget planning and control.

Authority

To assist in issue/ cancel permit for any planned activity.

To STOP any unsafe work as reported by workmen or self observed

Periodically inspect the logbooks, checklists and PPM schedule for a better management of Engineering system

To ensure all SOPs, guidelines are adhered to, understood and implemented

To ensure proper hand over / take over during each shift

Conducting relevant trainings, campaigns by coordination

PTW authorisation

QEHS& W Responsibility:

To ensure BBPIcon QEHS& W Policy is understood by self and co-workers.

To ensure safety management system (BBPIcon Safety standard, SOPs, EGs, QEHS & W procedures) is implemented and communicated to the team.

To ensure QESH& W objective are understood and individual objectives are completed as per the defined target date.

To identify risk at his work place, control measures are implemented and communicated to concerned employees.

Actively Participation in Employee Consultation Forum and other QEHS & W related meetings.

To report all incidents, NMCs, SOs that have occurred are reported and take participation as per procedures.

To ensure work is carried out as per the Permit to Work standard and also implementation of all identified control measures as per risk assessment (JSA, HIRA, TBT, etc)

To attend all the training as per TNI and Training plan.

To ensure that all QEHS& W related documents are maintained, tracked and tracked as per assigned responsibility.

Any other task / responsibility assigned by the management time to time

Providing suggessions for continual improvement

Conducting inspections as per inspection schedule

To ensure EHS&W implementation in their assgined area.
