In your role as the software development manager (SDM), you will be leading a team of best-in-class engineers dedicated to projects aimed at enhancing customer experience. Make the best use of your technical expertise and HR management skills to create a team of smart and curious troubleshooters.

As a SDM, you will also lead the future of a system that can fulfill computing needs based on a distributed system, high scalability, low latency and high availability. Your other duties will include standardising processes, tracking indices, and providing feedback regarding the system domains. As an engineering leader, you will be expected to demonstrate technical leadership that can help solve complicated issues and achieve a balance between strategies and tactics.

To fulfill the role of a SDM successfully, you need to take a customer-centered approach, delving into what delivery features they want, and an excellent technical vision that will help attract the best engineers. You will also be required to have the ability to motivate and guide your team of engineers to develop their careers and grow professionally.

What You Will Do :

As the SDM, you will:

manage an agile team of professional developers dedicated to building a scalable, stable, and manageable system;

recruit and hire developers to in line with the team’s goals;

assist each team member with career-building through 1:1 evaluation and counseling sessions;

define the system architecture with other developers;

understand and prioritise requirements; collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to establish a roadmap and execute plans;

define, measure, and report indices;

Support the team’s software implementation and operation;

lead improvements in development and management support;

lead standardisation of and improvements in business processes.

Basic Qualifications:

more than 10 years’ software development

more than 4 years’ software development management and architecture-related duties

good verbal and written communication; proven technical leadership

agile software methodology

Preferred Qualifications :

excellent practical skills and expertise; implementation and operation of large-scale, highly-scalable web service

launching of product on time in a dynamic environment

prioritisation of tasks in an ever-changing environment and the corresponding capabilities
