The Role

The Production Manager will coordinate with various brand teams and departments to facilitate the efficient production of editorial content for British Vogue, GQ UK, House & Garden, Tatler, and other titles. This role is responsible for the day-to-day delivery of content, ensuring Producers are supported on their productions so they are on time and within budget while strictly adhering to established policies, procedures, and first-class creative standards.

Reporting to the Executive Director of Production in the US, the Production Manager will supervise one direct report. They will work closely with the Executive Director and the Director of Production Management Operations to execute new processes, maintain departmental structure, and track project progress (including timelines, budgets, and contracts). Additionally, they will provide administrative and logistical support for staffing, legal, and finance functions to ensure seamless production workflows across the US & UK Productions.

This role is based in our London office.

What will you be doing?

  • Supervise one direct report.

  • Coordinate with the Director to ensure local workflows stay aligned with company goals.

  • Implement and support established processes.

  • Focus on project estimates, budget forecasting, and variance reporting.

  • Monitor and report on finances to ensure costs stay within budget.

  • Administer and review invoices and payroll for final approval.

  • Analyse crew/vendor data (maintained by the PC) to identify long-term cost-saving opportunities or shifts in preferred suppliers.

  • Initiate production risk assessments and declarations.

  • Coordinate production logistics from development to delivery, including equipment, travel logistics, on-site production needs, releases, and various other production requirements.

  • Liaise and source vendors and freelance crews.

  • Maintain a freelance database and crew network.

  • Facilitate and coordinate day-to-day production workflows.

  • Act as a review for all production risk assessments and declarations prepared by PC.

  • Coordinate and facilitate insurance, permits, contracts, and rights issues.

  • Serve as the primary point of escalation for vendors or talent issues that the PC cannot resolve.

Who you are:

  • Proven experience in Production Management, with a deep understanding of day-to-day logistics, including budgeting, scouting, releases, POs, call sheets, and equipment booking.

  • Ability to supervise junior staff and implement established workflows and departmental processes effectively.

  • Competent in coordinating vendors and crews, including scheduling, basic contract administration, and negotiating standard rates.

  • Strong background in production logistics, including permitting, international travel arrangements, and multi-region production requirements.

  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple timelines and maintain detailed records in a fast-paced environment.

  • Effective communicator capable of providing concise updates to stakeholders and maintaining accurate project documentation.

  • Knowledgeable in production compliance, including permitting, basic labour law, international visas/carnets, safety protocols, and insurance requirements.

  • Proficient in G-Suite and industry-standard budgeting, cost-reporting, and project management software.

  • Technically literate in camera, lighting, audio, and post-production equipment is needed to better support creative teams.

  • Solid understanding of the brand's content style, programming goals, and creative positioning.
