Job Summary

The VP, Accounting – Global Product, Capital and Balance Sheet Reporting leads all accounting activities related to global product support, capitalization, fixed assets, enterprise balance sheet and ACA reporting, and technical accounting for complex areas. Includes Sky Media and C&E.

Job Description

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY:

  • End‑to‑end oversight of Global Product Support accounting and reporting, including coordination with supply chain and product operations teams
  • Leadership of fixed asset accounting, capitalization, and capital reporting across Cable and Sky.
  • Ownership of balance sheet governance, reconciliations, ACA reporting, and key enterprise controls.
  • Accountability for Technical Accounting for Sky Media, Content & Entertainment, and complex product agreements.
  • Oversight of multiple senior leaders (Executive Directors, Senior Directors, Directors) across diverse accounting portfolios.
  • Strategic partnership with FP&A, Product, Tax, Supply Chain, Corporate Accounting, and Sky counterparts.
  • Governance of interactions with Accenture and other global support partners (e.g., CIEC).

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; CPA or equivalent professional certification strongly preferred.
  • Extensive executive level experience leading complex accounting functions in large, multi business or multinational organizations.
  • Deep expertise in capital investment accounting, fixed assets, and asset lifecycle management within asset intensive environments.
  • Demonstrated ownership of enterprise balance sheet management, including reconciliations, controls, governance standards, and compliance reporting.
  • Advanced technical accounting experience supporting complex commercial arrangements, media/content businesses, and evolving product models.
  • Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop senior accounting leaders across multiple portfolios and disciplines.
  • Strong track record partnering cross functionally with FP&A, Product, Supply Chain, Tax, and Corporate Accounting to support business strategy and execution.
  • Experience managing accounting activities across international operations and coordinating with global business counterparts.
  • Demonstrated success overseeing shared services and outsourced support models, including performance governance and risk management.
  • Strong executive presence with the judgment, communication skills, and analytical rigor to navigate highly complex accounting and business issues.
