Organization & Team Overview

The Comcast Network and Connectivity Team (CONNECT) is responsible for innovation, reliability, scalability, and development across our network capabilities. It drives strategy for the nation’s largest gigabit Internet network and delivers multigigabit upload and download speeds to tens of millions of Americans. The team operates within the broader Technology & Product Experience engineering organization at Comcast Corporate, based in the Comcast Technology Center in Philadelphia. The CONNECT Program Management team which this position reports to is responsible for top priority programs within CONNECT and engages with multiple layers of leadership and individual contributors to drive successful execution of Project and Program schedules.

Role Description

Are you an engineering student motivated by driving team progress and energized by organizing people, data, and activities to achieve a common goal? Do you enjoy collecting information and presenting it clearly to inform peers or instructors and drive decisions? Technical Program Management is a strong career path for blending technical ability with business acumen, offering opportunities to contribute both as an individual contributor and an emerging people leader.

This co‑op will support senior program management across multiple high‑visibility network initiatives by organizing information, tracking execution, and improving how teams communicate progress, risks, and decisions. The role is ideal for an analytical, organized student who is curious about technology and interested in how large technical organizations operate, and who enjoys working closely with engineering, operations, product, and leadership stakeholders on materials used in real decision‑making forums.

What are some interesting problems the student will work on?

In this role, you will support the execution and operational readiness of next‑generation access and core network programs as well as select cutting‑edge, pre‑production initiatives shaping the future of the network. You will help coordinate cross‑functional engineering efforts by organizing technical inputs, tracking execution against milestones, and translating findings from the field and lab into clear actions, risks, and decisions.

You will assist with program triage and anomaly investigation, helping teams identify patterns, prioritize issues, and reduce downstream operational impact. The role also partners closely with engineering and quality teams to align hardware and software lifecycle activities with deployment timelines, ensuring readiness as programs move from experimentation to scale.

Where can this student make an impact?

You will work directly with senior engineers and technical leaders, including Distinguished and Fellow‑level contributors, gaining exposure to how complex, high‑visibility programs are driven from concept through deployment. Given the advanced and often confidential nature of these initiatives, you will develop a strong understanding of access and transport architecture, enabling you to confidently facilitate technical discussions, surface priority topics, and keep teams aligned.

Your impact will come from improving clarity, coordination, and execution—ensuring stakeholders have accurate, timely visibility into program status, risks, and dependencies, and helping the team drive measurable improvements in stability and operational outcomes as these programs scale
