Job Summary
Customer-facing engineering support focused on Installation Support and Day 2 Service Assurance Support.
Job Description
Must be flexible to work morning/mid-day/overnight shifts and weekends.
Employment Eligibility:Applicants must have the legal right to work in the United States without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization (including H-1B, OPT, or other visa types). This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
Core Responsibilities
- Hands-on IP router/switch/firewall/sdwan customer premises equipment
- Design, configure and deploy LAN and WAN network connections, hardware, software and communication links and services.
- Optimize the network and systems services and troubleshoot any network performance issues.
- Responsible for the service provision and monitoring of the network infrastructure to company standards.
- Works directly with customers to troubleshoot and resolve network issues
- Is a technical point of contact for other internal engineers
- Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
- Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Skills
-
Specific knowledge and 3 to 5 years experience with Fortinet SDWAN primarily but also Cisco and Juniper routers

Strong knowledge of internetworking designs and their applications and routing
-
Solid knowledge of Layer 2 and Layer 3 internetworking technologies

3 to 5 years Experience with protocols
-
Extensive Firewall experience with firewalls such as (Fortinet 60F/80F/100F/400F/1800F, Meraki MX64/MX67/MX68, Cisco ASA, Juniper SRX etc.)

Extensive experience with Cisco switches and routers

Certifications such as (Fortinet Associate NSE 3, Fortinet Professional NSE 4-5, CCNA, CCNP, CCIE)

This job can be performed in Colorado, and Illinois with a Pay Range of $65,200.24 - $107,580.40
Comcast intends to offer the selected candidate base pay within this range, dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience. The application window is 30 days from the date job is posted, unless the number of applicants requires it to close sooner or later.
