Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated professional to join our Global Controllership Organization (GCO) as Manager, Compensation Accounting. This role will be responsible for managing the accounting, analysis, and reporting for compensation areas including but not limited to severance, 401K, payroll taxes, etc. This role is expected to provide technical and administrative guidance and support to the team and our business partners. This role is also expected to provide analytical support regarding financial statements and general ledger activity as it relates to compensation areas. They will serve as a subject matter expert and provide guidance to employees. They are expected to develop processes and procedures to drive department efficiencies and process improvements.
Job Description Responsibilities:
- Managing and coordinating the activities of Accounting staff to ensure efficient department operations
- Ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting and analysis in compliance with GAAP
- Continually drives automation and process improvement across team to simplify process and increase efficiency of month-end close.
- Developing procedures to adapt to operational changes and policy updates within the department
- Overseeing internal and external audit inquiries, managing audit processes to maintain financial integrity
- Enforcing corporate policies regarding internal controls to safeguard company assets
- Reviewing balance sheet reconciliations, guiding Accountants on necessary adjustments and entries
- Providing subject matter expertise and guidance to employees, developing performance standards for the team
- Adapting departmental plans to address resource and operational challenges, implementing functional strategies
- Developing, mentoring, and training Accounting team members
- Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
- Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary.

Education:
Bachelor's Degree: Accounting
While possessing the stated degree is preferred, Comcast also may consider applicants who hold some combination of coursework and experience, or who have extensive related professional experience.
