- Lead a critical team supporting national security operations
- 4 weeks annual leave + 2 weeks remote location leave per year + access to a 9/80 roster
Your mission starts here at Raytheon Australia! We are seeking a leader for our VLF Power Production team in Exmouth. In this pivotal role, you will contribute directly to Australia’s national security mission while enjoying a lifestyle that’s hard to beat. We will support your growth with best-practice tools, systems and development opportunities.
Situated in Exmouth, this role oversees the 24/7 operation, maintenance and repair of the VLF power plant and associated systems. You will build, lead and mentor a high-performing team, ensuring safe, reliable power generation for this nationally significant capability. This is an opportunity to apply your technical background while shaping team culture, process excellence and operational readiness.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the power production team, fostering a strong safety culture and developing team capability.
- Oversee the operation, maintenance and repair of the VLF power plant and associated equipment.
- Ensure reliable, safe 24/7 power and utility service delivery to the site.
- Manage planning, scheduling, testing and performance of power generation systems.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
These are all the things we’d love to see in an applicant, but appreciate not everyone will hit every requirement. If you’re a leader that has some of the below, we’d love to hear from you:
- Diploma in Electrotechnology – Electrician, Diploma in Engineering – Mechanical Trade, or equivalent.
- Diploma in Leadership & Management, or equivalent (preferred)
- Current C-Class driver’s licence.
- Minimum 6 years post-qualification experience.
- Experience leading teams, including work scheduling, coaching and operational execution.
- Demonstrated experience with maintenance planning, scheduling and asset management practices.
- Successful candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Negative Vetting 1 (NV1) Security clearance as needed. Eligibility can be found at http://www.defence.gov.au/agsva
