The following position is to join our RTX Enterprise Services Facilities Tea

m:** RTX has an opening for a Facilities Maintenance Manager** (Manager, Facilities) position in Andover, MA.

This role requires significant interaction with local business leadership, labor relations, and other RTX functional organizations including EHS, Security, Digital Technology, Internal Customers, suppliers.

What You Will Do:

  • Lead, manage, maintain and oversee all aspects of site maintenance operations for the Andover Ma Main building.
  • Implementation of operation and maintenance programs
  • Ensure a safe, flexible, efficient, and clean workplace.
  • Oversee Maintenance Operations: Manage daily operations of facility plant maintenance, ensure all systems (HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical) are functioning properly.
    Preventative Maintenance: Manage existing preventative maintenance program as well as develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend the life of equipment and facilities.
    Corrective Maintenance: Respond to and prioritize corrective maintenance service calls.
    Supervise facilities supervisors and maintenance staff, including hiring, training, and scheduling, to ensure adequate coverage for maintenance tasks.
    Provide team leadership based on technical knowledge and ability to routinely develop cost effective solutions over a range of complex issues while ensuring solutions are innovative and consistent with organizational goals and objectives.
    Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify potential issues and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and standards.
    Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, including inspections, repairs, and preventative maintenance schedules.
  • Perform work with minimal direction, communicate and collaborate well with team members, management, security, EHS, internal customers, and the bargaining unit.
  • Provide off hour coverage of site in response to building emergencies and weather-related events.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in all aspects of facilities maintenance and construction to include carpentry, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, sheet metal, and janitorial and a bachelor’s degree in Operations, Business Administration or related discipline or equivalent combination of related work experience and schooling in lieu of degree.
  • At least one of the following MA professional licenses (CSL, Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC).
    5+ years of proven facilities leadership experience
    Experience in managing building infrastructure and technology, reading and interpreting schematics and blueprints.
    Knowledge of Massachusetts and National Building codes.
    Experience consulting with management on building maintenance and construction issues.
    Experience managing and negotiating between customers and facilities in a fair and effective manner with creative solutions.
    Clearance; ability to obtain within 6 months.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Proficient with MS Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project)
  • Experience with CMMS operations
  • Strong understanding of Building Automation and sub-systems, such as Siemens and JCI
  • Project management and scheduling experience
  • Ability to provide off-hour coverage

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
