Your mission starts here at Raytheon Australia! Right now, we are seeking a bright and energised Mission Lead.

The Raytheon Australia Mobile Threat Training Emitting System (MTTES) program delivers, operates and sustains an Electronic Warfare (EW) training capability for the ADF across Australian training ranges.

The Mission Lead role is a key operational leadership position within the MTTES team supporting all aspects of mission planning and execution of MTTES operations.

The Mission Lead is principally responsible for delivering training effects from the Mission Control Centre (MCC). MTTES operates two MCCs located at RAAF Amberley and Delamere Air Weapons Range, NT supporting the delivery of training effects in ranges across Australia for the Australian Defence Force and international partner forces.

Advanced knowledge of Military Air Operations, Airborne Electronic Attack operations, C2ISR, intelligence support to operations or training system development/instructional delivery is highly valued.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead and assist the development and execution of simulated Integrated Air Defence System (IADS) training scenarios for various ADF and international flying activities.
  • Execute the delivery of IADS scenarios as the scenario lead within the MCC located at RAAF Amberley, QLD and Delamere Air Weapons Range, NT.
  • Plan and execute training packages to achieve complex training effects.
  • Brief, lead and debrief a team of operators and support staff within the MCC during mission execution.
  • Provide accurate and succinct tactical execution debriefs to Defence customers/operators.
  • Prepare written reports, briefings, analysis and tailored mission products to Defence customers/operators.
  • Operate in a combined team to engage with ADF planning executives to develop effective and achievable MTTES operational plans.
  • Provide leadership, supervision, management and mentoring to team members.
  • Effectively employ, operate, and monitor the battle management system to support execution of training packages.
  • Collaborate in the design, development and execution of emergent multi-domain scenarios to support ADF and international partner training outcomes.
  • Provide timely, accurate, and relevant post-mission data to enable and enhance end user debrief and analysis.

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Military Air Operations, C2ISR, intelligence support to operations and/or training system development/instructional delivery roles.
  • Proven understanding of military EW systems and/or adversary IADS.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both as an individual and as a member of a team.
  • Knowledge of operational technical intelligence processing, exploitation and dissemination processes.
  • Strongly developed interpersonal skills and able to influence stakeholders at an operational level.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop solutions that meet complex customer requirements.
  • Eligible to hold and maintain a minimum NV1 Australian Government Security Clearance. Eligibility can be found at http://www.defence.gov.au/agsva
