The Pratt & Whitney Airfoil & Isothermal Forge Module Center is looking for a CMM Technician to provide support for manufacturing operations for the disk and blades businesses.

What You Will Do:

A CMM Maintenance Technician will help maintain all CMMs on Blades and Disk side. This includes preventative maintenance as well as assisting operators with down CMMs.

The technician will evaluate a down CMM and identify if the problem is program or mechanical based. If the problem is mechanical, the technician will work to correct it. For complex problems, extra steps will be taken to contact the CMM vendor

CMM Technician Responsibilities:

  • Preventative Maintenance on CMMs.
  • Be the first line of defense for down CMMs. Diagnose CMM issues.
  • Replace probes, Qualify CMM, Reset Scales, Reset a crashed CMM.
  • Identify if down CMM is a programming issue or Mechanical issue.
  • Schedule CMM Vendors for complex mechanical issues.
  • Keep a log of down CMMs, Scheduling dates, and Resolution dates.
  • Reload corrupted probe files back to the CMM.
  • Set up probes on new CMMs.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • High School diploma or GED; Vocational Training1+ Year of relevant experience
  • Current forge maintenance technician. Level 02, 01 or 00
  • Strong technical work background

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong organizational, communication and social skills
  • Working knowledge of SAP
  • Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint proficient preferred
  • Excellent written, verbal, and social communication skills highly desired

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.
