Position Role Type:

Onsite

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and execution of materials planning strategies across multiple business units, ensuring alignment of material readiness, inventory performance, and production continuity with overall operational and financial objectives.
  • Establish and govern a standardized Material Enablement and Planning framework across business units, integrating planning, procurement, engineering, and operations to ensure Bills of Materials (BOMs), material master data, and planning parameters consistently support varying product configurations, demand profiles, and production models.
  • Provide enterprise oversight of multi-level BOM structuring and material visibility by directing advanced SAP extraction methodologies, data consolidation techniques, and reporting automation to generate accurate, cross-BU planning intelligence focused on purchased parts, long-lead materials, and critical components.
  • Drive cross-business inventory health strategy by analyzing SAP inventory data (e.g., ZMM_INV01), production order status (COOIS), and demand forecasts to identify systemic risks, excess and obsolete exposure, and supply-demand gaps that could impact build plans or working capital targets.
  • Lead enterprise shortage governance by facilitating structured risk reviews with Planning, Procurement, Operations, and Engineering stakeholders across business units. Define prioritization models (High/Medium/Low risk), escalation pathways, and recovery strategies to protect production schedules and minimize cost impacts from expedites or disruptions.
  • Serve as a subject matter authority for materials planning systems and digital tools, supporting SAP enhancements, automation initiatives, and data governance improvements that increase end-to-end supply chain visibility and reporting accuracy across the enterprise.
  • Develop and monitor enterprise-level performance metrics and dashboards linking material readiness, shortage trends, inventory turns, and planning effectiveness to operational stability and financial outcomes, enabling leadership-level decision support.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to planners and analysts across business units, promoting standardized best practices, analytical rigor, and proactive risk management to strengthen planning capability across the organization.
  • Continuously advance the Materials Planning strategy by identifying cross-BU process gaps, harmonizing planning methodologies, and implementing scalable improvements that enhance production stability, reduce disruptions, and improve overall supply chain performance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Operations, or a related field; Master’s degree or equivalent enterprise-level experience strongly preferred.
  • Extensive experience in enterprise supply chain, material planning, or enablement roles, with demonstrated progression into senior or principal-level responsibilities.
  • Proven ability to lead and influence across multiple Business Units, aligning diverse operational priorities with enterprise strategies and performance goals.
  • Recognized as a subject matter expert (SME) in material enablement, inventory management, and end-to-end supply chain processes across complex organizational structures.
  • Strong capability to set direction, define governance, and establish standard frameworks that drive consistency, scalability, and operational excellence across Business Units.
  • Advanced ability to build executive-level alignment and consensus, effectively influencing senior leaders and stakeholders across functions and geographies.
  • Demonstrated leadership in enterprise transformation and continuous improvement initiatives, including system optimization, process harmonization, and change management.
  • Deep knowledge of inventory and material management philosophies and systems, including MRP, SAP, JIT, and advanced planning concepts, with the ability to translate strategy into execution.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of synthesizing complex, multi-BU data into clear insights, risks, and actionable recommendations for leadership decision-making.
  • Proven experience in driving high-impact projects and programs from concept through execution, managing dependencies, risks, and outcomes across multiple organizations.
  • Strong executive communication skills, with the ability to develop and deliver strategic narratives, business cases, and presentations to senior leadership and enterprise stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate ambiguity, manage competing priorities, and resolve cross-BU conflicts, balancing enterprise objectives with local operational realities.
  • Strong customer and stakeholder orientation, serving as a trusted advisor to Operations, Planning, SCM, Program Management, and external partners.
  • Track record of measurable business impact, including cost reduction, inventory optimization, service level improvement, or operational readiness across multiple Business Units.
  • Experience in informal and formal people leadership, including mentoring senior analysts and specialists, building capability, and enabling succession within teams.
  • Clear commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, ethical leadership, and fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning.
