RTX BBN Technologies is one of RTX’s premier research and development centers whose diverse research portfolio combines the best technologies to deliver innovative, custom solutions for real-world applications. Within our Analytics and Machine Intelligence business unit, we are seeking a Principal Researcher to perform and provide high quality technical work for our government customer. We serve the intelligence community with novel and applied speech recognition research.

This position is a customer on-site role.

What You Will Do:

• Research, develop, and implement novel algorithms for solving customer challenges related to Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR).

• Develop software systems to train and test ASR systems.

• Build new ASR models for customer data and domain.

• Interface with DoD clients supporting ASR research systems.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.

• Security Clearance Type: Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph.

• Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience.

• Experience with Python Programming.

• Experience with the Linux command line.

• Experience with Machine Learning.

• Empirical Research Experience.

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Bash Programming.

• An inquisitive personality.

• Hands on Experience with Speech Recognition technologies.

• Experience with ESPnet.

• Experience with Py Torch.

• Experience and knowledge of software development in Python.

The salary range for this role is 95,500 USD - 181,700 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
