What You Will Do

• After completing your induction training you will work in our Machine Shop completing required work repairing engine parts, in accordance with the approved data, customer requirements and company procedures.
• Using our computer system to document and record your work.
• Ensuring that your work meets all health and safety requirements.

Qualifications You Must Have

• You are Trade qualified Machinist NZQA Level 4 (or equivalent) with strong machining and hand skills. Please provide a copy of your relevant qualifications upon application.
• Must be legally entitled to work in New Zealand (open work visa without limitations, residency, or citizenship).
• Strong background in manual machining (lathes, mills or grinders).
• CNC setting and programming skills (FANUC, Siemens, Haas, Okuma).

Qualifications We Prefer

• Basic CAD/ CAM skills.
• Have solid work experience in a similar environment, such as aviation, automotive, mechanical engineering or related.
• Be experienced in working in processes and following instructions.
• Strong hand skills.
• Good computer literacy.
• Have a high level of attention to detail, accuracy and good organizational skills.
• Be a confident, effective communicator and a strong team player.
• Be passionate about your work and always strive for the best and take pride in your work.
• Be able to comply with a strong safety and quality culture.
• Be flexible and adaptable.
• Able to work in physical tasks, such as but not limited to: Standing, walking, bending, kneeling, reaching, lifting, carrying, and twisting.

Hours of work

• In this full-time position you will work in a fortnightly rotating shift pattern. Availability to work overtime is appreciated and compensated accordingly.
