To support our mission, Raytheon Australia is currently seeking a motivated Mechanical Fitter who is ready to join a diverse, talented and enthusiastic team of professionals in Exmouth, Western Australia.

As the Principal Contractor for the Naval Communication Station Harold E Holt (NCSHEH) located in Exmouth, Western Australia, Raytheon Australia provides services for the maintenance and operation of critical defence infrastructure including the Space Surveillance Telescope, Very Low Frequency (VLF) Communications Transmitter and C-Band Radar Tracking Radar.

Key Responsibilities

• Performing planned maintenance routines as scheduled by Maximo.
• Performing corrective maintenance tasks.
• Liaising with all to co-ordinate downtime preventative / corrective maintenance activities.
• Providing mechanical technical advice as required.
• Isolating and tagging out of mechanical equipment.
• Record keeping and data entry in Maximo.
• General housekeeping / cleaning duties associated with trade
• Adhering to safety requirements and develop JSAs for specific tasks.
• Providing on the job training of other staff and receive training when required
• Machining parts / fabricating components as required.

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

• Certificate III in Engineering or relevant Mechanical Trade with 4 years’ experience working in the trade.

• Previous large scale plant experience or similar / equivalent industrial environment.

• Good working knowledge of electric motors, gearboxes, pumps and compressors.

• Machining/ fabricating experience.

​Non-Essential:

• Current Australian ‘C’ Class (ie. Car) Driver’s license.
• Overhead Crane (CB),
• Dogman (DG),
• Forklift (LF),
• Elevated Work Platform (EWP) and/or Crane (CN) Certification.
• HR, HC, MC Driver’s License.
