The MDG Technical Developer will be responsible for Designing & developing new features in our MDG application while collaborating with the functional team, the application architecture team & consulting partners.

The applicant is encouraged to have a strong background in core MDG Application and should have worked on Implementation projects involving SAP MDG Solution for either of the following: Material, Customer, Vendor, Financial masters.

What You Will Do

  • Involved in building scalable & reliable solutions
  • Collaborate with the functional leads and work on translating requirements to efficient code
  • Accountable for code quality & technical documentation
  • Designing & developing prototypes of the solution when required
  • Assisting in solution support
  • Ensure adherence to Development, Compliance & Security standards
  • Build an environment for developing innovative solutions with a strong emphasis on automating work where possible
  • Be able to communicate (Speak, Read and Write) in English very well.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in the field of Information Technology or Computer Science
  • Overall 8+ years of technical experience with minimum 5 years of relevant experience coding in S4 Hana and SAP MDG
  • A thorough hands-on knowledge in OO ABAP, BRF+, MDG Workflows, CAP/RAP/API’s, handling extensions (Classic / In-App / Side by Side), FIORI apps, BTP, FIORI elements, OData services, CDS views in MDG is required.
  • 2 to 5 years of detailed experience in the belowABAP CDS views with UI5 annotations, OData, REST/JSON, XML (including debugging)
  • Experience in CDS Frameworks using ABAP PROGRAMMING MODEL FOR SAP FIORI (CAP-Cloud Application & RAP)
  • MDG Data Replication Framework and Integration with ERP using BAPI, RFC, IDOC, WSDL, PI Proxies and OData REST APIs
  • Good knowledge of ABAP 7.x coding standards and using ABAP Development Tools.
  • Hands-on development experience of RICEF objects in ABAP on HANA
  • Knowledge of BADIs, User Exits, Customer Exits and Enhancement Spots
  • Hands on experience of tools like Business Rules Framework (BRF+), Business Application Studio (BAS), SAP HANA Studio (Eclipse) & GIT.
  • Worked on any SAP MDG custom objects to build solution on client requirements.
  • Experience in supporting UAT phase and go-live period of MDG Implementation project.
  • Establish clear expectations regarding status reporting, team communication and deliverable management.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong conceptual, analytical, problem-solving, troubleshooting and resolution skills.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience across various tools such as Solution Manager, JIRA & knowledge of CI/CD concepts
  • Knowledge of AIF, Flexible Workflows
  • Relevant SAP Certifications
