Role Summary

As a key member of the R&D team, you will drive product innovation by conceptualizing and designing new technologies based on consumer insights. Reporting to the Assistant R&D Manager, you will manage assigned projects from preliminary feasibility through to clinical trials and technology transfer. This role is exciting because it sits at the intersection of laboratory science and consumer-facing product delivery, offering the opportunity to translate scientific breakthroughs into finished products for a global market.

Responsibilities

• End-to-End Product Development:

Lead the conceptualization, design, and data analysis of assigned projects, ensuring formula development, stability evaluation, and lab performance testing are completed within project timelines.

• Strategic Technology Integration:

Identify and leverage new technologies and consumer insights to conduct feasibility assessments and foundation research, translating scientific principles into actionable product leads.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Partner with Safety, Micro, Regulatory, and Process Development teams to ensure efficient technology transfer and support claim substantiation through rigorous data compilation.

• Quality & Compliance Management:

Ensure all laboratory activities, notebooks, and SOPs are maintained according to Quality and EOHS standards, proactively mitigating safety risks in the handling of chemicals and high-pressure systems.

• Communication & IP Support:

Document and present research findings, invention records, and technical reports to management and business partners to protect intellectual property and drive business decisions.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, Material Science, or Biotechnology. Master Degree´s

• 2 to 5 years of relevant laboratory/R&D experience within the Consumer Goods (CPG) industry.

• Proven proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Project, PowerPoint).

• Fluent oral and written communication skills in English.

Preferred Qualifications

• Functional Competencies:

Demonstrated knowledge in technology fundamentals (physico-chemical/life sciences) and the ability to interpret competitive patent landscapes.

• Advanced technical knowledge of analytical methods, rheology, emulsion chemistry, and surfactants.

• Prior experience with academic publications or patent applications.
