Job Description Summary:
The Sanitation & Facilities Support Technician is responsible for executing sanitation and facility support functions to maintain a safe, compliant, and production-ready juice manufacturing facility. This position supports plant operations by performing non-production sanitation, infrastructure cleaning, and facility housekeeping in accordance with GMP, food safety, OSHA, and regulatory requirements. The role requires the operation of industrial cleaning equipment and powered industrial vehicles, as well as work at elevated heights using approved access equipment.
What You’ll Do for Us

Operate industrial floor scrubbers and related equipment to maintain cleanliness of warehouses, hallways, docks, and other non-production areas.

Perform overhead and elevated cleaning of facility infrastructure, including structural steel, piping, conduit, lighting, and HVAC components, in compliance with GMP and food safety standards.

Execute standard sanitation procedures (SSOPs) and ensure adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and plant food safety programs.

Safely operate powered industrial equipment, including forklifts, scissor lifts, and boom lifts, for sanitation and facility support activities.

Conduct routine inspections of assigned areas to identify sanitation deficiencies, safety hazards, or facility maintenance concerns; communicate findings to Facilities Maintenance leadership.

Properly handle, mix, store, and apply industrial cleaning chemicals in accordance with Safety Data Sheets (SDS), company policies, and regulatory requirements.

Complete required sanitation logs, equipment inspections, and compliance documentation accurately and in a timely manner.

Support Facilities Maintenance with special projects, plant shutdown sanitation, audits, and plant readiness activities.

Ensure compliance with OSHA, FDA, and company environmental health and safety standards.

Support pest prevention and control efforts by maintaining clean, orderly, and well-managed facility conditions.

Utilize required personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow all safety, hygiene, and lockout/tagout procedures.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Prior experience in industrial sanitation, food or beverage manufacturing, warehouse operations, or facilities maintenance preferred.

Working knowledge of GMPs, food safety programs, and sanitation practices in a regulated manufacturing environment.

Ability to operate industrial floor scrubbers and powered industrial vehicles; forklift, scissor lift, and boom lift certification required or ability to obtain.

Ability to work safely at elevated heights and in confined or industrial environments.

Ability to read, understand, and follow written procedures, work instructions, and safety documentation.

Strong attention to detail with a focus on sanitation, safety, and regulatory compliance.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
Physical & Environmental Requirements

Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and lift up to 50 pounds routinely.

Ability to work at heights using ladders and aerial lift equipment.

Ability to work in an industrial manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, temperature fluctuations, and sanitation chemicals.
Work Schedule
- Flexible schedule required; includes nights, weekends, and overtime as necessary to support production schedules, sanitation requirements, and facility operations.
