We are seeking a Safety Manager to lead a high‑performance safety culture, partnering with plant leaders to bring our belief that**“Zero is Possible”**to life. This role blends technical depth with strategic leadership—driving risk‑based decision making, robust management systems, and disciplined execution in a complex manufacturing environment.
The role requires a leader who can translate technical standards, data, and systems into practical, high‑impact solutions on the shop floor. You will collaborate across functions, leverage internal and external best practices, and continuously strengthen how safety performance is designed, measured, and sustained.

What you’ll do for us:

Continuously maintain and improve the Occupational Safety and Health Management System in compliance with ISO 45001,corporaterequirements, and local regulations.

Assess and periodically update risk assessments, ensuring regulatory and corporate compliance and effective corrective action plans.

Develop, implement, and monitor the annual safety program and Occupational Safety business plan.
-
Lead internal audits, ensure readiness for external audits and drive continuous improvement.
-
Ensure safety inspections, procedures, standard work instructions, and robust management of change with a safety-by-design approach.

Deliver and coordinate general and technical safety training for employees, contractors, and temporary personnel.

Measure, analyze, and report safety performance, using data and trend analysis for prevention and predictive strategies.

Develop and coordinate emergency response, injury and illness prevention programs, incident investigations, and engagement with external emergency services.

Manage the safety budget, identify cost-saving opportunities, and negotiate with vendors and suppliers.
-
Advise senior management on fire prevention and protection, PPE selection and use, hazard exposure, and safety compliance.

Promote a strong safety culture, effective communication, internal and external collaboration, process standardization, benchmarking, and best-practice sharing.

Contribute to the development, integration, and continuous improvement of the CPS QSE Management System, and perform additional related duties as required.
Requirements & Qualifications:

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree, in Occupational Health and Safety or relevant technical area.

7+ years in Safety experience, with preference in managing teams and workplace safety. Experience in Food & beverage manufacturing plants is a plus.

Outstanding communication skills in English, both verbal and written.

Project management knowledge and experience.

Move or live in Liberia Guanacaste 100% non-negotiable.

Functional Skills:
Functional Expertise in Occupational Health Safety and Security ISO 45001, safety and security risk assessment, regulations, OHS corporate requirements, human and organizational performance, safety engineering controls, ergonomics, chemical risk, industrial hygiene, work at height, confined space, fire protection, contractor management, fleet safety, machinery safety, security technologies, internal audit skills, problem-solving skills, creativity, and critical thinking.
- Management Expertise:
Strong experience in technical team leadership role collaborating and managing teamwork, good communication and presentation skills for all personnel levels. Ability to interact with cultural differences between global regions.
