We are expanding with a new, one-million-square-foot, 15-floor, state-of-the-art facility on Cleveland Clinic Main Campus designed to elevate care for complex neurological conditions — including spine injuries, epileptic seizures, movement disorders, multiple sclerosis and stroke.
This advanced building brings every stage of care under one roof, featuring dedicated spaces for outpatient services, surgery, stepdown, ICU and epilepsy monitoring, as well as additional operating rooms and expanded ambulatory, infusion, imaging, EMG, sleep and rehabilitation services. We are welcoming new caregivers to collaborate within our multidisciplinary teams and contribute to nationally recognized, innovative neurological care. As a Medical Assistant on this team, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming and supportive environment for patients, families, and visitors. Working collaboratively with clinical and administrative staff, you will support medication management, patient monitoring, and a variety of clinical and office tasks.
This position offers broad clinical exposure through hands-on involvement in patient care, compliance, and coordination with interdisciplinary teams. With a strong emphasis on professional development, this role provides an excellent foundation for expanding your healthcare knowledge and skills, making it a dynamic and rewarding opportunity for long-term growth.
A caregiver in this position works full-time| M-F| start: 7:00am or 8:30am - 3:30pm or 5:00pm (flexiability). No weekends or holidays.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:

Assist with performing screenings and treatments by gathering and updating information related to health maintenance, identifying medication changes, updating allergy information, collecting specimens, performing tests and documenting patient care.

Monitor and communicate changes in patient condition.
-
Maintain equipment, medical supplies and examination areas.
-
Perform administrative/clerical duties, such as filing, reception, scheduling, data entry and patient registration.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
-
Graduate from an approved Medical Assisting Program. (As designated by the Enterprise MA Steering Committee)
-
OR Military training as a Hospital Corpsman (HM), Combat Medic (68W) or Medical Service Technician (4N0X1) will be considered
-
Completion of a clinical externship (Extensive clinical experience may be considered in lieu of formal clinical externship)
-
Successful completion of Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (within new hire period)
-
Current demonstrated clinical proficiency
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

Medical Assisting Certification

Successful completion of Cleveland Clinic Externship
Physical Requirements:
-
Manual dexterity to operate office equipment.
-
May require extended periods of standing, walking or sitting.
-
Good visual acuity through normal or corrected vision.
-
Light Work
-
Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly (Constantly: activity or condition exists 2/3 or more of the time) to move objects.
-
Even though the weight lifted may be only a negligible amount, a job should be rated Light Work: (1) when it requires walking or standing to a significant degree; or (2) when it requires sitting most of the time but entails pushing and/or pulling of arm or leg controls; and/or (3) when the job requires working at a production rate pace entailing the constant pushing and/or pulling of materials even though the weight of those materials is negligible.

Note: The constant stress and strain of maintaining a production rate pace, especially in an industrial setting, can be and is physically demanding of a worker even though the amount of force exerted is negligible.
