As an RN in Concierge Medicine, you will assist fellow caregivers in delivering exceptional care, from initial introduction to final send-off, providing professional nursing care to a specified group of patients in a variety of ambulatory care settings. In this role, you will interact directly with patients, families, and visitors, offering the opportunity to enhance their experience and supply healthcare information as needed.

A caregiver in this role works days from 8: 00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

  • Assess health status by completing a nursing assessment.

  • Perform telephone triage.

  • Notify physicians/LIPs of abnormal findings.

  • Establish a care plan in collaboration with the patient, family, and health care team.

  • Collaborate with care coordinators to ensure smooth and effective transitions of care.

  • Assist with specialized diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.

  • Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physician/LIP and monitor patients for response.

  • Initiate CPR and other emergency measures.

  • Provide health education to patients and families.

  • Develop, evaluate, adapt and document education to learning needs.

  • Participate in quality initiatives, process improvements, and research activities to improve patient outcomes, patient experience and patient safety.

  • Maintain professional growth and development in the nursing field and identify annual core competencies.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

  • Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing (ADN or BSN program)

  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross

  • **In areas performing moderate sedation procedures and/or cardiac stress testing, must have current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) or ALS through American Red Cross Certification within six months of hire

  • One year of recent experience as an RN OR LPN, Medical Assistant and/or other unlicensed clinical healthcare experience if applicant is a current Cleveland Clinic caregiver in an ambulatory setting transferring into an RN role but remaining in the same current ambulatory Cleveland Clinic setting OR a current Cleveland Clinic caregiver in a clinical role within the same specialty area transferring into an ambulatory area

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

  • Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN) within 3 years

  • Two years of experience

  • Outpatient experience

Physical Requirements:

  • Requires full range of motion, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination.

  • Requires corrected hearing and vision to normal range.

  • May requires some exposure to communicable diseases or bodily fluids.

  • Light Work

  • Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly (Constantly: activity or condition exists 2/3 or more of the time) to move objects.

  • Even though the weight lifted may be only a negligible amount, a job should be rated Light Work: (1) when it requires walking or standing to a significant degree; or (2) when it requires sitting most of the time but entails pushing and/or pulling of arm or leg controls; and/or (3) when the job requires working at a production rate pace entailing the constant pushing and/or pulling of materials even though the weight of those materials is negligible.

  • Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures.
