The Role:
We are looking for a Head of Data to lead our Data Science and Analytics Engineering teams and serve as a key member of the executive team. In this role you’d be building a data organization that directly shapes product decisions, drives experimentation, and improves how the entire company operates. You will lead a team of ~15 people and be responsible for ensuring that data is a core driver of product direction, not just a support function. This role is hands-on. You will engage directly in product questions, experiments, and metric definition, while also building a strong, cohesive, and high-performing team.
What you’ll do:
- Lead and develop a high-performing Data Science and Analytics Engineering team
- Drive data-led product improvements across growth, engagement, and monetization
- Partner closely with Product, Engineering, and Leadership to shape strategy
- Build systems and frameworks that improve decision speed and clarity
- Establish clear and trusted metrics and data definitions
- Integrate AI into data workflows to improve efficiency and insight generation
- Maintain a high hiring bar and strong team culture

Class Dojo takes a number of factors into consideration when determining compensation, including geographic location, experience, and skillset. Salary ranges (United States):
CA, WA, NY, NJ, CT states: $280,000 - $321,000 (USD)
All other states in the US: $240,000 - $280,000 (USD)

ClassDojo is a curse to teachers everywhere
We have given parents the ability to contact us at all hours of the day?? who thought this was a good idea. and yes I know there’s quiet hours. But this is essentially a second job, and administration looks down on teachers who don’t constantly update their ClassDojo and respond to parents ASAP.
