Position Summary:
The individual will be responsible for developing and managing comprehensive test strategies, test plans, and test scripts that ensure the accurate integration of credit risk strategies and business rules across multiple teams and platforms. This role focuses on testing the implementation of Credit strategies ensuring that testing processes support the organization’s broader credit risk initiatives and driving continuous improvements in testing methodologies.
The successful candidate will collaborate closely with technology, risk, and business teams to ensure that credit risk models, policies, and strategies are thoroughly tested and perform as expected.
Responsibilities:
- Test Strategy Development: Lead the creation of comprehensive test strategies for credit risk models, decisioning engines, and business rules that drive consumer lending and credit risk assessments.
- Test Plan Design: Oversee the development of detailed test plans, including scope, objectives, resources, schedules, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with the credit risk framework.
- Test Script Creation: Design and execution of test scripts that validate credit risk rules integration, ensuring test cases accurately reflect all risk factors, decision rules, and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Credit Risk Rules Integration: Ensure that all test cases are aligned with credit risk policies and that any changes in strategy are properly tested for functional and operational accuracy before deployment.
- Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including credit risk, IT, product development, and compliance, to ensure effective integration of business rules and risk models.
- Risk Management & Controls: Implement and maintain strong risk management practices throughout the testing process, identifying potential issues and mitigate risks associated with new credit risk strategies.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive ongoing improvements in test methodologies, tools, and processes to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and accuracy across credit risk-related testing activities.
- Reporting & Documentation: Ensure accurate reporting of test results, including defect tracking, resolution, and metrics that reflect test effectiveness and coverage. Maintain thorough documentation of test strategies and processes.
Qualifications:
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., finance, risk management, information technology). A master’s degree or certifications in credit risk, financial analysis, or software testing is a plus.
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in consumer credit risk management or financial services, with experience executing test strategies for credit risk systems or decision engines.
- Technical Proficiency: Automated regression and user interface testing. Strong knowledge of credit risk decisioning platforms and rules engines. Experience with testing tools and automation testing frameworks. Knowledge in SQL and SAS preferred.
- Analytical Mindset: Ability to analyze test results and credit risk impacts, providing actionable insights to improve overall testing processes.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex test results and credit risk insights to senior management and stakeholders.
- Technology & Innovation: Strong understanding of technology platforms, automation tools, and data analytics that support risk model/strategy testing and validation. Experience incorporating AI/ML into credit risk testing processes is preferred.
